Good morning wedding lovers! First things first this morning, I have to share some exciting news! The fun and flirty ‘L is for Love’ wedding inspiration shoot I styled earlier this year was featured on top inspirational wedding blog Love My Dress yesterday! As one of my favourite blogs (I can literally lose myself for hours in the dreamy weddings!) I am super thrilled to have Annabel’s seal of approval! Check out the full post here! And thank you to the amazing team of suppliers who helped create such pretty!
On with the pretty, and today I’m delighted to feature this cute all American engagement shoot from Northern Carolina photographer A.J.B. Photography Studio. Cecily & Matt’s shoot makes the most of the pretty rustic setting, I just love the shots outside airstream caravan, and their outfits which add to the retro look!
Matt had seen me around school. I was only a freshman and he was a junior. Matt found me on MySpace and once I’d seen his photo I was hooked on him! I had to find out who this good looking guy was so I asked, having no idea we went to the same school!! The next day at school he found me in the student centre. He started eating lunch with me daily, then walking me to class.
Matt was home from Raleigh. It was a weekend full of subtle hints, I still never picked up on. Matt dropped me off at work. He headed to his parents to ask for their permission to propose to me with his great grandmothers ring that he adored so much. He got their approval and a lecture about marriage. Still after the lecture he was ready to make me his wife. He went to my parents home. Once he was there he sat them both down at the kitchen table to have their permission. They both love Matt so of course their answers were yes! 7pm came around and it was time for me to get off. Matt arrived and I was cleaning up the inside. He brought me in front of the bar to where we were face to face. Still no clue about what was about to happen. He started to talk to me about my day. I guess he got to excited to wait because he then got down one knee. With a ring box he looked up at me and asked me to marry him. Tears rolled down my cheek and I couldn’t stop smiling. I said yes! He jumped up and hugged me and gave me the biggest smooch a roo!!
