love shoot: spring in bloom {sarah & david}
Hello lovelies!
This afternoon I’m taking us back to the beautiful springtime, bright yellow daffodils fill Sarah & David’s engagement shoot! Such a happy colour for such a happy time! They brought along an handful of paper confetti too which makes for some really cute shots! Thanks to Becky from Dennison Studios for the submission!
David and I met as teenagers on holiday in Tenerife. As neither of us had phones on us, I actually memorised his telephone number (good job I have a good memory!) and contacted him when we were both back from holiday. We met up a a week later and went on our first date for a meal and the cinema.
We then ended up both going to Bath University together and shortly after that bought our first house! The proposal happened whilst we were on holiday in Mexico after eight and a half years of being together. Dave organised in secret a private meal on the beach with our very own butler for the night. After the meal we took a walk along the beach where he then got down on one knee and asked me!
For once in my life I was actually speechless as I really wasn’t expecting it at all and although I managed to get the word ‘yes’ out I was definitely in shock!! It wasn’t until the next morning that it actually sank in when I woke up to see the ring on my finger!!! I was very excited and actually started planning the wedding whilst we were still on holiday, I went a bought some American wedding magazines from a local Walmart to get ideas for colour schemes!
As for the day itself, I guess the most important thing is that we create a day that we would remember forever and to celebrate with all our nearest and dearest. We wanted the day to have a romantic and elegant traditional English feel which is part of the reason that we chose South Lodge as a venue. I want the day to be a really happy one, not only for Dave and I but also for all our guests to have a great time.
What fabulous photos. Lovely couple and a very talented photographer. If I were getting married again I would definitely hire this team – they seem very professional and produce some amazing shots that show the feelings between the couple. Well done to Dennison Studios!
