love shoot: springtime in paris ~ part 2 {kate & andy}
Morning brides-to-be! We’re back in Paris today with the gorgeous Kate & Andy for Part Two of their epic engagement shoot in the city of love! If you missed Part One go and check it out now! And, you can see even more over on photographer Anneli Marinovich’s blog today too.
Being the cute & quirky couple that they are, Kate & Andy shared their love story on their gorgeous wedding invite designed by bridesmaid, childhood friend and talented stationery designer, Cassie of Ink Love ~
They had a pretty tough 2011, you can read more of Kate’s story here, leaving them to plan their wedding in just two months (infact, they got married less than two weeks after we returned from Paris!) Anneli and I wanted to make sure they had a really memorable trip, so as well as documenting the whole weekend, I had a few little surprises up my sleeve for them to enjoy too… On our second day in Paris, the rain did little to deter Kate and Andy from enjoying the magic of the city, we headed off for a wonder around the arty Montmatre district, discovering a little flower market and a gorgeous blossom tree along the way that made for some really pretty pictures! Kate wore a the gorgeous Lacey dress from Maids to Measure, and a beautiful sash from Victoria Mary Vintage.
Before our trip, Kate and Andy had been busy ‘pinning’ ideas and places they wanted to visit over the weekend (you can check out our Paris inspiration right here). One of the things Kate was really excited to do was add a padlock to the Pont de l’Archevêché, following a long European tradition of ‘love locks’ where couples declare their everlasting love by adding a padlock to a bridge, and throwing away the key. As we approached the bridge I handed them a special little box… I completely love their reaction!!
Join us again this afternoon for the prettiest Parisienne picnic in Part 3!
This is really beautiful, love it!!!
