Love at Lulworth Castle

If you’re dreaming of a castle wedding but one with the epic setting yet modern style, you’ll be delighted with today’s shoot at Dorset’s Lulworth Castle! Created by Makeup Artist Tara Sanger and Charlotte Bryer-Ash Photography to share something creative, romantic and with unique touches. We adore the ceremony space with a sprinkling of fairy lights above the alter which look like pixie dust and the fun doesn’t stop there because there’s a foliage canopy to frame the couple and candles are aglow down the steps! Florist, Clair Lythgoe, tells us about the genius idea of decorating the ceremony using pieces from the main reception and doesn’t it look incredible!

“I just adore ceremony styling, it really does give ultimate wow factor… take these aisle decorations… so simple and effective… peach roses and white tulips on mass in simple glass vases with lots of romantic candle light from chunky pillar candles, tea lights and lanterns… weaving textured foliage linking all the items finishes the look. It was all taken apart during the drinks reception and re-used as the top table arrangement which looks awesome! The arch way and urns were the finishing touches to that grand aisle… I’m such a fan of foliage and these textures and colours combined look stunning… silver eucalyptus, ivy, gravillea and ferns on mass letting the natural flow of the foliage create the shape…more cosy candles finish the look.”
