LUNCHTIME LOVE: STEPHANIE ALLIN AT AGAPE BRIDAL
Let it be known we can most certainly be swayed by any boutique that has it’s very own pretty pink bar cart, especially when it contains a bottle of pink bubble on display for it’s visiting brides. It’s these extra touches that make our favourite wedding suppliers ‘luxe & lovely’, making them stand out from the crowd and going the extra mile to give their brides the most amazing experience possible. The owner of said bar cart is Agape Bridal, in Cheshire, who alongside pink champagne serves up a delightful array of designers to their descerning brides. Today we get a peek behind the scenes with Catharine Noble Photography during Agape’s Stephanie Allin designer day, held over the Valentine’s weekend. Renowned as one of Britain’s best Bridal designers Stephanie’s dresses are known for their structure, luxurious fabrics and fashion, combined with an unfaltering knack for knowing exactly what suits a woman’s body.
Here’s a few words from Catharine about the day..
Step inside Agape Bridal in the pretty little town of Bowden, and you will be greeted warmly by Alex the co-owner and stylist and her lovely team of talented ladies. The boutique is elegant with gentle cream tones, hard wood floors, French style furniture and I just love the pretty wallpaper decorated with swans! They are a creative bunch and have such beautiful displays both for the windows but also their accessories around the boutique – antique frames encasing jewellery and garters, lace wedding dress toppers hung from strings of pearls – it feels magical and the attention to detail creates a beautiful experience, perfect for you finding your wedding dress!
The collection of dresses at Agape are insanely beautiful! They stock designers such as Temperley, Watters, Eliza Jane Howell, Amanda Wakley and Caroline Costigliano. Today we were there to see a great selection of their Stephanie Allin dresses and even met the wonderful designer herself! I’ve admired the Stephanie Allin “Hayworth” gown for a while now and seeing it real life was a pleasure! It is embellished with sequins throughout the bodice and cascades down the length of the dress to reveal tulle – it is a show stopper!
Something I am always excited about is wedding shoes and Agape does not disappoint! They stock a lovely range including two of my absolute favourites, Rachel Simpson and Freya Rose! With a whole wall displaying a collection of shoes, I was in heaven! From lace overlay court shoes in cream and nude for the more traditional Bridal look to pastel pink suede peep toes fastened with ribbons for those looking for something to make more of a statement – you are spoiled for choice.
Agape Owner Alex loves to spoil her brides, especially on the most romantic day of the year! She served a glass of pink fizz on arrival, and upon ordering their perfect dress and sent her lovely brides on their way with a little ‘congratulations’ gift bag containing a single pink rose, mini prosseco and luxury chocs – the perfect way to celebrate!
