Happy April everyone! Me again, with a rather Easter inspired mood board for you lovelies this month. OK, I know Easter has been and gone, but does anyone else still have a mountain of chocolate to get through or is that just me!? As I’m sure like most I am a bit of a chocoholic (and particularly love Ferrero Rocher, hint hint), which got me thinking about this chocolate gold wedding inspiration… nothing too OTT or tacky, just hints of chocolate and rich red tones mixed with a touch of gold for the luxe effect.

These colours used sparingly and in the right way could produce a seriously glam and elegant look. I picture chocolate or burgundy linen paired with gold cutlery, charger plates and glasses. Deep florals mixed with a few blushes and creams to bring some light into the décor. Fashion choices could be bold, bringing some golds into hair accessories, shoes, perhaps you may even opt for a very opulent wedding dress and have metallic hues in the lace or veil. Bridesmaids could be in a lovely chocolatey taupe tulle dress and grooms and ushers matching with ties and buttonholes. Obviously a chocolate themed wedding wouldn’t quite be right without some of that cocoa goodness to eat and drink. Think chocolate and gold wedding cake, chocolate Martinis and a hot chocolate station – dreamy!

Bridesmaids Dress: A rich coffee or chocolate tone works so well on most skin tones and Dessy do some fabulous styles and colours. Take a look here

Gold Glasses: Adding hints of gold into the cutlery, crockery and glassware can add the luxe touch to your wedding and work so well with deep reds and browns. Duchess & Butler have a fab collection of glassware to hire.

Ribbons: By adding ribbons to tie around bouquets, floral displays, buttonholes or even stationery and napkins, it further adds the colour effect into the styling. I love a chocolate coloured fine silk ribbon, but have recently spied these beautiful Lancaster & Cornish Gold Leaf Silk Ribbons – stunning!
