Modern Romantic Creative Wedding Ideas at the Saddle Room North Yorkshire

We’re whisking you away to the countryside setting of The Saddle Room in North Yorkshire for a contemporary and creative wedding shoot by LND Events and Styling.Farm , captured by fine art photographer Arabella Smith! We are in love with the beautiful pastel colours and scenery, the oodles of ideas for table decor, desserts styling and floral design – and Arabella’s stunning photography style!

“The Saddle Rooms, as the name would suggest, are based amongst one of the North of England’s richest horse racing heritages and nestled in the most gorgeous of countryside locations. The venue had just finished the creation of their Bell Barn so it was an honour to be asked by the management to organise a styled wedding shoot and it seemed only right to therefore add in subtle equestrian hints throughout the day…. look closely in the pictures and you’ll spot the odd riding hat, boots or tack! The barn has been built with floor to ceiling windows that let so much light in. This coupled with huge arched beams and a dramatic open fireplace, the shoot really lent itself to pastel colours so as not to darken the atmosphere and also, perfectly in keeping with the romance of a wedding.

The styling and florals were designed and provided by Styling.- Farm who brought her signature style of ‘more is more’ to the table. An abundant array of props selected from Baytree Interiors provided the backdrop to the stunning cakes and stand out stationery. From the glitz of the low hanging crystal chandelier, sumptuous gold leaf side tables and dramatic urns to the quirkier items, such as the gorgeous (wish he was real) ceramic Labrador and horses head bust. Pure Natural Therapy kindly supplied striking custom essential oil candles in gold bowls. Beautiful deep blue watercolour floral plates with the all-important gold rim were offset with elevating mercury glass chargers from Baytree Interiors and on trend gold cutlery.

Cocktails, desserts and cascading fruit completed the abundant feast theme. Inspired by the lush blues of the end of summer Delphiniums Styling.Farm was inspired to carry the blue theme throughout with big blousy blue hydrangeas and more delicate seasonal flowers. This was teamed with huge fronds of seagrass for impact, which created the perfect arc alter on the lawns! Further seasonal flowers were sourced including the stunning range of Dahlias from Wild Bee Flower Farm in Ripon near the venue. Gray Starling Designs created a show stopping and very on trend, scripted banner to hang from the beams and cascade down amongst the table as well as the polished silver calligraphy name and menu cards.

Where the Ribbon Ends provided an array of different size and type of cakes and desserts, each equally beautiful in their own right. By mixing them into the table scene, rather than stand them alone, this gave a twist on the current cake tables that are increasing in popularity with their colours bringing another dimension to the finished design. The ‘bride’ and ‘bridesmaid’ were beautifully made up by Stacey Jakeman of Jakeman and Green and styled in romantic gowns from The Bridal Affair. The Bridal gown was a stunning multi layered tulle skirt and pale gold jewel encrusted bodice. These were perfectly accessorised with jewellery and headpieces by Starbox Jewellery for that extra sparkle! Our groom wears a custom waistcoat and accessories from Dandy Threads, which works perfectly with the overall look of the shoot; a touch of the dapper for a country gent.”
