As one of B.LOVED’s go-to wedding boutiques, we’re always on hand to give bridal advice and styling tips to the B.LOVED team. We know deciding on your overall wedding style isn’t easy – especially when there are so many different looks to choose from! We have noticed that some of our brides get a little bit concerned that the dress will define their wedding style and limit their accessory choices, but today we are going to show you how to achieve two very different looks using the same dress.

The dress I have chosen this month is called Odile (from £2,500) and it’s one of the dresses from our brand new Luella’s Wedding Dress Collection for 2016.

This dress is made from a beautifully hand embroidered Cornely silk cotton and has a multi-layered hemline, stunning open back and optional collar. We have used the collar in one of the looks but you could easily create both of these looks without using the collar.

bloved-wedding-blog-british-victoriana-bridal-styling (14)This look is a modern take on the traditional bohemian style. The cut of the dress is more slim fitting which works well for the more glamorous boho styles that we are seeing in 2016.  We have chosen to use faux flowers instead of fresh flowers for the flower crown, a much better option if you are considering getting married somewhere hot! Fresh flowers are stunning but they can easily wilt, so we suggest limiting these to your bouquet and other venue décor.

If you are considering wearing a flower crown then we suggest keeping your other accessories to a minimum, so for this look we have chosen a simple pair of beautiful Lotus earrings by Victoria Fergusson (£50) made from stunning cut crystal quartz in a gold Vermeil setting.

We have chosen two different sandal options to complete this look and both designs are by British Wedding Shoe designer Charlotte Mills.

The first style of shoes are Blossum (£230) and they are made from a mix of pale gold and ivory leather with a gold ankle tie finished with ivory hearts.

Alternatively you may like these gorgeous Blond shoes (£225) which are also made from a mix of pale gold and ivory leather and feature Charlotte’s signature silver sixpence.

This look is extremely fashionable for 2016 and features a high neck collar which gives the illusion of being totally covered up from the front view of the dress but the open back gives it a totally contrasting look.

We have chosen the following accessories which have been handmade by Victoria Fergusson and are a modern version of vintage style accessories which we think work perfectly with this style.

This beautiful Beatrice hair accessory (£220) is an indulgent mix of Swarovski crystal in clear and white opal shades and solaris, marquise and round shapes. The stones are in a mix of gunmetal and rhodium plated settings all adding to the texture of the piece.

These matching earrings are absolutely gorgeous and perfectly tie in with the Victoriana style. Beatrice earrings (£40)

We have also chosen to add a bracelet to this look and we think this delicate Lovers Knot bracelet (£58), made from two lovely antique gold links filled with Swarovski mosaic works perfectly with both of the pieces.

For original vintage versions we also have a collection of stunning beautiful accessories on display in the boutique which have been carefully collated by Tania from Magpie Vintage.

We have chosen two more styles of shoes by the talented Charlotte Mills that we think would work beautifully with this style of dress.

The first style is called Bianca (£295) which is a gorgeous lace up bootie in ivory leather which is finished with an ivory ankle tie with heart detail. The second style is called Ana Rose (£230) and they are made from nude leather with rose gold leather details.

Note the hint of Rose Quartz which is one of this year’s Pantone colours of the year!

I was inspired to open Luella's Boudoir following my own wedding in 2005. With a busy career, very little time to visit lots of wedding shops and seven bridesmaids to dress, I longed for a place where I could view everything we needed at the same time. Today Luella's strives to offer brides an incredible, assortment of truly individual items and we continue to ensure that we are offering an exclusive selection of beautiful wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and accessories that have been meticulously sourced from all over the world.
