#181: OYSTER & PEARL
Hello lovelies! Well what a mix this weather has been! However, in true British fashion, I still made my way to the seaside recently and braved the rain! I’m determined to believe that there is an Indian Summer just around the corner… I was luckily to treated to lunch at one at my favourite restaurants and had Oysters. I LOVE them, literally obsessed. They aren’t for everyone, but they are heaven to me. Anyway, I started to think about how pretty their shells were and this got me thinking about my next inspiration board – Oyster & Pearl.
The delicate oyster and pearl hues work so well for a wedding, especially mixed with greys and blushes. Not only could you feed your guests oysters – think oyster bar with all the works, all with a glass of Laurent Perrier Rose, serious yums. You could use the shells for decoration – table runner, chandelier, attached with ribbon and used as bunting, as place cards…so many options! Paired with blue and pink florals – such as astilbe, anemone and lilacs, and mixed with pewter accessories and charger plates. A flowy romantic dress and loose hair and a late afternoon reception on the beach, perfect!

You can always try your hand at DIY, however if you want to add the oyster colour palette to your tables and décor, try adding some mother of pearl or pastel pearlescent votives into the mix. Amara has similar to offer

Beautiful pastel or patterned ribbon with a water colour effect can be used to tie cutlery or around a napkin or bouquet and will add a romantic, flowing feel. Kate Cullen has the most perfect pieces!
