Poetic Lakeside Wedding Inspiration in Switzerland

Inspired by French poem The Lake, this beautiful shoot by Lake Geneva in Switzerland is perfect inspiration for the classic romantic. It combines lakeside scenery with classic European architecture (Geneva’s Parc de la Grange), gorgeous flower arrangements by Marine Gaci, and a simple yet stunning dress by Lauren Créations.

Put together by Annecy-based wedding planner HEDHERA and shot skilfully by Thomas Audiffren, we love this shoot for reminding us that romantic simplicity brings the bride and groom into focus, and like the poem, emphasises the fleeting nature of time when it comes to one’s wedding day.

My flatlays are just like the color palette we chose for this shoot: grey and pink. Soft and refined colors combining poetic and romanticism. At the same time symmetrical and refined, we bet on the sobriety of each of them.

A few months ago, Thomas Audiffren contacted us (HEDHERA) to plan a shoot in Switzerland. I wanted this project to be artistic and romantic at the same time. So it was obvious to do this shoot on the shores of Lake Geneva: What could be more romantic? Wanting to give an international aspect to this shoot, I opted for our first model (Maroussia) with a Slavic style and another one with a Franco-American style (Ivann).

Once my models were identified, I built a team with the same desire to communicate around the fine art style. I chose Marine Beauty Artist (Makeup artist & hairdresser) who had already worked with me on several projects and was therefore ideal for the beauty setting. She has a soft, elegant and refined look, perfect for the image we wanted to give to our shoot. Then, I selected Miss Acacia (Florist) to join us. A passionate craftsman, she knows how to divinely enhance the flowers and bouquets she composes. BonjourPaper (Stationery), specializing in refined stationery, she has a strong sensitivity for elegance and work well done, so it was natural to ask her to participate and concoct beautiful stationery in line with our theme and colour palette (Grey/pink). Then, I asked Kinfolk Events (decoration) to be part of this shoot for several reasons: the first one being that she lives in Switzerland and could be relied on to find nice places for the couple’s session. The second reason is that she specializes in vintage decoration. Also, it was essential to think about jewellery which is why I approached SohéloBijoux Mariage to be part of the team. A truely talented designer, she has an acute sense of refinement and elegance. For the models’ outfits, I chose LaurenCréations (Wedding dress), an outstanding designer of light and poetic dresses and Blandin & Delloye (Suit) for her elegant and classy creations!
