Pretty Pastel Pavilion Wedding in Harrogate Inspired by Botanicals

Rosa Aqua Weddings and Samantha Ward Photography created this beautiful inspiration with a pastel colour palette. Shades of pale mauve, dusty pink, mint, lilac and white was carried out through all details for a soft and airy look set at The Sun Pavilion, Harrogate.

“Inspired by the venue with its magnificent Art Deco stained glass dome and the beautiful Harrogate’s Valley Gardens, I wanted to engender a modern-vintage feeling with botanical vibes combining traditional and contemporary elements. I created several focal points outdoor and indoor such as a ceremony area on the main terrace, a bride and groom table, romantic tea lights, candles and floating roses on the staircase, a gorgeous hand painted cake. I used unique pieces like glassware, blown glass vases and contemporary cutlery, hand painted watercolour stationery, flower hoops, silk ribbons and monograms to compliment the theme. The vintage lace bridal gown and bold groom attire, the ‘floaty’ bridesmaids’ dresses and delicate hand-crafted jewellery emphasised 1200 the style.

The flower design by Hyde Park Flower Club by Dottie’s played a pivotal role with a variety of flowers matching the colour scheme, such as garden roses, astilbe, sweet peas, freesia, gypsophila and foliage. One of the main details was delicate gypsophila and other small flowers used for the bride and bridesmaids’ hair styling.”

  • When styling a large venue, create various focal points to enhance the style.
  • Make sure that the chosen theme and colour palette work well together.
  • Use simple yet elegant elements arranging them in an eye catching style.
