Pretty Purple Wedding at Seal Beach
The Story: Dreamed up by Lorie at H & L Lovely Creations and crafted around Moroccan touches and fall florals by The Petal Exchange, this pretty purple wedding will have you reveling in all things mauve and deep lilac.
The Location: The Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California. This country club in Orange County dates back to 1967 and embodies Southern Californian lifestyle. The planner was inspired by the beauty of the trees and greenery at the location, and made the pretty gazebo a focal point.
The Vibe: Pretty purples meets Californian cool. The elegant tablescape was created with a blush velvet fabric tablecloth, gold votives, tall clear candle holders with floating candles, and lavish mauve crystal chargers. This was combined with deep lilac plates, white and gold edge flatware, ivory chiffon napkins, stunning stationery pieces and lush floral centerpieces for a sophisticated romantic vibe. The three tier marble taupe cake was decorated with handmade sugar flowers in purple, blush, white and pink.
The Details: The bride wore a fit and flare long sleeve gown with embroidery and lace by Amare Couture from Casablanca. The bouquet was kept simple and unstructured using mostly lilac with touches of distant drum garden roses, mauve lisianthus, brown lisianthus, white lisianthus, burgundy dahlia, white dahlia, cafe latte dahlia, chocolate cosmos and explosion grass. The rose and cocoa crinkle silk ribbons were the perfect addition. The groom wore a black diamond lapel suit with a muted burgundy bowtie by Friar Tux.
- The clever use of colour and simple styling elements (like these gorgeous knotted napkins) can bring everything together. Think about how to use different tones, contrasting colours, shapes and textures to create an inviting tablescape.
- A bespoke cocktail can add a special celebratory feel to your event like the bramble thyme cocktail created by award-winning mixologist, Mia Valenzuela, owner of Mias Martini, presented beautifully in a white bar chest setup by The Vintage Vision.
- If your wedding theme revolves around colour, think about how your wedding cake can be used to accentuate this.
