Dreamy Proposal in Eastington – Ellie and Tom’s Engagement

We can’t help but be enthralled with this magical proposal in Eastington Park. Skilfully captured by Aurelia Allen Photography, Ellie and Tom’s special moments exuded so much love and romance.

From Stephanie Saunders‘ dreamy floral arrangements to the venue’s idyllic vibe, everything about this gallery tells the story of a real-life fairytale. Scroll down and see how magic unfolded when Tom asked Ellie to marry him.

The Style

The future bride, Ellie: “In November 2019, Tom and I decided that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We originally wanted our future engagement to take place during a holiday in France, but we cancelled our initial plans due to Coronavirus. In the end, we chose the gorgeous Eastington Park in Gloucester for our special moment. This place will also be our wedding venue and we can’t wait to come back to the same spot in two years to say ‘I do’!

We chose a colour palette of blush and ivory because we wanted something timeless, feminine, and romantic. Blush pink has always been my favourite colour, and we’re so happy that our florist was able to incorporate this into our bouquet and arbour design.

I chose a beautiful blush tulle gown from Monique Lhuillier, which is perfect for dancing. I paired this tiered dress with blush and lilac appliqué heels from Badgley Mischka. We were also lucky to have Sue and Lloyd, who played our favourite music with their piano and saxophone while Tom popped the question.

The ring was designed by Northern Star Jeweller in Penarth. We chose the specific shade of blush I wanted for the morganite and complemented this with diamonds and a rose gold base.

Tom and I have been together for two years. We’re so glad to have our photographer, Colette there to capture our special moment. It has always been my dream to have an album filled with memories of our love story.”

Colette of Aurelia Allen Photography said, “My main goal was to capture the proposal authentically and candidly. I photographed the moment as it happened and let the couple savour that whole experience.”

The Flowers

The florist, Stephanie Saunders: “Initially, we were booked to provide a luxury bouquet for this special moment. However, there’s a last-minute decision to pretty up the arbour at Eastington Park, and we were so happy to oblige.

We installed a flower-filled archway bursting with seasonal favourites for a perfect summer day. Peonies, roses, and hydrangeas smothered the crescent structure. Then, we softened the installation with delicate sweet peas and a hint of foliage, providing the perfect backdrop for this lovely proposal in Eastington.”

The Colours

The florist, Stephanie Saunders: “Blush pink tones were the day’s theme, which we muted using white and ivory shades. It was essential to keep a very feminine and summery vibe to the florals as our client had an unyielding vision from the outset. We created a luxurious but delicate design to enhance the natural beauty of Eastington Park and its surroundings.

Ellie’s bouquet echoed the style of the arch – full with a gentle fluffiness. We arranged blowsy peonies and roses into the posy with sweet peas dancing on the bouquet’s surface.”
