real wedding: a pink & sage marquee celebration {henrietta & matt}

Happy Wednesday my loves! Are you having a lovely week? This week is business planning week at b.loved HQ, I’ve been meeting with some of my wedding industry fairy godmothers to work on all the exciting things in the pipeline for 2013. From wedding fair styling, to new information packs for my gorgeous brides and grooms-to-be and a little re-fresh coming up soon, I’m really looking forward to the first few months of the year! The beginning of the year is such a great time to refresh and renew my plans, and I am looking to you to help! If you’ve any suggestions or ideas for features or advice you’d like to see on b.loved over the next 12 months then get in touch :)

And as it’s Wednesday, it’s time for this week’s real wedding! We’re saying hello to Matilda Rose Photography who submitted Henrietta & Matt’s classic countryside celebration. I have such a soft spot for a pretty marquee wedding! From the lush rose and peony bouquets, beautiful blue skies and pretty vintage-inspired details it’s just perfect! I especially love the pre-drinks treat, a Punch and Judy show for little and big kids alike! Pretty, pretty, pretty!

Henrietta explains more about their day below ~

We used to work for the same firm, where we met on my first day, but did not get together for a year or so. Matthew proposed to me at a shooting lodge in Scotland, on an estate he used to work on during his degree. It was just after Christmas, so everywhere was very festive, with decorations, candles and log fires.

I ended up buying my dress in Tenterden in Kent, after looking extensively in London. It was lace and taffeta and was perfect! I was really pleased with it.The bridesmaid dresses were made to measure and were in green raw silk with pink piping. They had large silk roses in their hair and gold leather peep toe shoes. The groom and groomsmen wore black morning dress, with buff waistcoats, pale pink shirts and green and pink spotted ties, with huge white rose buttonholes.

Our decor was mixture of vintage and country, and our colours were pink and green. We collected antique side plates to lay on all the tables and vintage liqueur glasses for the raspberry vodka that accompanied the pudding, made by my mother in law. The venue was a field overlooking a creek, and we had a huge pole marquee on it, with fairy lights, bunting made by my mother in law, jam jar lanterns made by me and lots of flowers, all arranged by us.

What was your first dance, and how did you choose the song?
Van Morrison – Someone like you. The words just summed it all up really.
