Romantic Wedding Ideas Inspired by Pink Cherry Blossom

Jennifer Jane Photography shares this utterly pretty wedding inspiration shoot filled with pastel colours and romantic details which she styled and captured at the beautiful Pennard House in Somerset. I couldn’t be more in love with the dreamy flowers designed by Flourish and Grace in the prettiest pink shades and fluffy petals! Here’s Jennifer to tell us more about the details;

“A Shoot inspired by the Far East. Predominantly Japan’s Sakura Season when the streets and parks are awash with pink cherry blossom. Taking the delicate cherry blossom as the theme and using this in the floral inspiration in the centrepiece displays and bouquet. The blossom theme is followed through in the loose flowing dress, with hints of pink and petals in the design, for a modern and western twist on the wedding dress.

Stationery and accessories draw from the Far East, by incorporating origami, and fans. The colour scheme is soft and light and utilises the pinks from the cherry blossom, whilst using the familiar aqua for contrast. The gold add that luxe touch.”

  • Using the soft effeminate colours of the pale pinks and aquas,
  • Being versatile with the blossom used to give the look and feel. Although the Cherry Blossom had finished due to the unseasonable warm weather, I substituted with apple blossom to give the same feel and worked with a venue who had their own Orchards.
  • The look was pulled together with the smaller details such as the fans on the plates and the Origami cranes. It is a shoot that is inspired by the Far East with a western interpretation, and is designed to be soft and romantic in its feel, just like the Sakura season itself.
