Pink.  There’s a reason why it’s bride’s most-used shade.  Think pink and you think pretty, feminine and romantic; everything a wedding should be. From the softest blush shades to peachy tones, every season this classic shade reinvents itself yet again, giving us something fresh and new! This year Pantone picked Rose Quartz as one of it’s colours of the year, boosting this ever-popular shade to new heights!

I’ve been itching to create something pretty using this shade for ages, and so when Vicky from Victoria Millésime got in touch to let me know about her new Gold Dust Collection, which combines hints of rose quartz and touches of gold  it provided the perfect muse for a rose quartz and gold wedding inspiration shoot.

The light and airy interiors at Morden Hall provided the perfect backdrop for a whimsical table setting with floral design by The Flower Bird and beautiful tableware and linens from Prezola.  Inspired by spring we contrasted informal seasonal arrangements combining anemones, fritillary, helebore, lilac and a selection of roses, against crisp pink linens alongside beautiful calligraphy from Gemma Milly. Susie from SK Cakes took inspiration from the botanical detailing of the accessories to create a striking wedding cake with gold accents.

Dresses from Luella’s Bridal’s 2016 Collection fit the romantic style beautifully, yet add a contemporary twist with their unusual detailing; chain sleeves and metallic dipped hems and pair wonderfully with the ethereal headpieces, pins and vines from Victoria Millésime’s Gold Dust Collection with organic and botanical theme weaving throughout.  Tori Harris complimented the bridal attire tumbling locks a contemporary undo, and a warm bridal makeup look using rose blush and touches of gold to the eyes.

The Flower Bird also created a trio of bouquets – from a classic round of roses in wonderful pink and gold shades, to a more wild and unruly bouquet finished with cascading hand-painted silk ribbons from Kate Cullen. For the final look, a gold sequinned, cowl back dress from Maids to Measure adds a hint of glamour and allure, perfect for your maids!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
