Rustic Romance in Malaga
On a summer’s day amongst the salt-crusted foliage, this rustic-romantic wedding shoot took place at Cortijo Sabila, a boutique hotel in Malaga, Spain. A combination of cozy charm and elegant style, this editorial shoot was styled by .
The venue was set inland with rustic wood features and enveloped by a true Mediterranean landscape of flowering plants, green vines and tall olive trees. The prominent dome-shaped gazebo added an element of luxury and grace —and makes the most stunning setting to exchange vows or for bridal portraits!
A delicate palette lent a softness to the atmosphere. Shades of pretty pink and hints of magenta and burgundy contrasted with white and green.
created a bridal bouquet of cotton-candy pink roses, white hydrangeas, hot-pink astilbes and a variety of greenery. Long, flowing pink ribbons held the bouquet together. The floral arrangement on the table consisted of matching individual bouquets in dusty gold vases, with flowery vines tastefully flowing to the table.
The table was set under a romantic pergola covered in enchanting green climbers. The tablescape included beautiful candles of different heights and shapes that added character and volume to the décor. The sandy beige linen napkins complemented the feminine pink tablecloth and pearly white chairs; gold cutlery and embossed water glasses added a touch of refined luxury. showed attention to detail with hints of gold foil on the menus and name tags, which were tied with soft ribbons.
This shoot was styled during cherry blossom season, and aspects of this were included in subtle details like cherries on the place setting. We absolutely loved the idea of using fresh fruit as part of the décor!
prepared a lovely three-tier cake in the wedding colour palette. A trail of edible flowers decorated the cake to match the bridal bouquet. Refreshing cherry-flavoured drinks ideal for an outdoor spring/summer wedding fit with the cherry blossom theme.
This snug-yet-sophisticated shoot was themed to inspire couples after a very difficult year with hopes to host a simple-yet -stylish, rustic luxury wedding.
