Shades of White at Château de Tourreau

The Story: This styled wedding shoot serves as inspiration for fashion-forward couples. Luxury, elegance and high-end fashion photography take centre stage.

The Location: Château de Tourreau, an exceptional historical venue set on 20 acres in Provence, France. This is the quintessential fairytale castle wedding destination. The striking colours of the Château’s facade reflect the colours of the earth, stone, trees, fruits, and flowers give this region its unique character and make for the perfect backdrop for an alfresco celebration during the warmer months.

The Vibe: Aspirational, elegant, creative and stylish. This is the type of wedding that little girls and grown women all around the world dream of.

The Details: This shoot centred around a white colour palette. The first day involved a boudoir session in the living room of the Château, followed by an intimate couple session featuring a stunning bridal gown created by the Elisa Ness atelier. The second day of the shoot was devoted to photographing flatlays, the wedding cake, the tablescape, the ceremony and the couple in the heart of the castle. For this shoot the bride wore a wedding dress designed by Thibaut Lauvergne. The ceremony was set up in front of the Château in the beautiful afternoon light with magnificent floral work by Capucine Atelier Floral and four suspended chandeliers installed overhead by Phos Events. The stunning white on white layered wedding cake display designed by MonAnnie Cakes played with different shapes and heights and was decorated with delicate sugar flowers.

Tips & Highlights:

  • To inject the feel of fashion photography into the shoot, the team focused on the poses used by the models (especially the bride) and hair and make-up styling (e.g. the white lines used on the bride’s eyelids in the boudoir shoot).
  • For the flatlays, the photographers played with a light stroke to break up the linear look and attract the attention of the viewer.
  • A long table for sixteen guests was set up in front of the Château for the reception. An outdoor evening meal is a delightful way to soak up the surroundings and celebrate with your guests at a villa wedding.
