Find out how to enter below.

But first, Illustries Co-founder Emma joins us to talk hen do’s, Marbella memories and strippers…

Fun hen do quotes

Tell us about Illustries & what you do?

We’re all about remembering life’s special moments – in particular your wonderful wedding day. We create beautiful alternative albums as a unique way to capture the wedding day from the very beginning to the proposal and the big day itself. We also make quirky and fun guest and message books – a great alternative to the blank pages of most books, as ours are packed with prompts and fun things to get people talking.

We know brides and grooms spend so long planning every aspect of their big day and

we don’t want them to forget a single thing! We interview them, by appointment, together with their nearest and dearest, and write their very personal story including every last detail: from vows, readings and speeches to the guest list, messages and menu. We combine that story with their images and lots of creative design touches, making every single album unique, just as every wedding is unique.

Our guest books were the result of going to lots of weddings and trying to come up with something moving and funny when the guest book came around – not so easy after a glass of wine! Our books are stylishly designed with quizzes, doodles, awards ceremonies and lots of message pages so that guests are never stuck for something to say.

Hen do guest book

What is a Hen Party book?

Our guest books have been so popular that we wanted to add to the range, and having been on a few hen do’s recently we really felt for the Maid of Honour having to come up with ideas! We wanted to create something that would get the party going but also make sure that the bride-to-be ended up with more than a hangover – the books are fun and funny but include space for messages, photos and more, all the memories of the Hen in one place.

All our Hen Party books are carefully designed to be bang up to date with something to suit every style. They are A4-sized with hard cover and lovely art-quality matt pages so that writing is easy too. Our Hen Books – there is a choice of dusky pink ‘One Last Thing Before the Ring’ or mint green ‘A Bit of a Hen Do’ – have 40 pages packed with quirky features. There is a sign in page, a quiz about the bride, an awards ceremony, loads of games, wishes for the bride, doodles to complete, space for photos and to write messages too.

What’s your best hen do story…?

Well, we’re off on a hen do this weekend! It for Sam, my Illustries co-founder , and we’re off to Marbella. We’re looking forward to some sun and relaxation, but Sam is insisting on tequila shots so we hope the flashing diamond ring shot glasses we’ve sourced will come in handy! I’ve been married for 5 years now and my hen do was in Blackpool – I must be getting old because when we came out of the cabaret club at midnight and I was asked if I would like to go clubbing I just wanted to head home for a cuppa!

hen party ideas

…and your idea of a hen do nightmare?

Well, with a hen do in Marbs to look forward to, we’d have to say rain! Really, what we’d most hate is for the Hen to be disappointed, so we’re hoping that the (mostly) stylish vibe we’ve chosen is OK… and that she wasn’t hoping for a stripper!

Sounds great right? To win your Hen Party Book we want you to share your hen do nightmares!  Perhaps naked butlers aren’t your thing? Or a simply sophisticated night out is not quite your last-night-of-freedom plan? Just leave a comment below, tweet us or comment on Facebook! And if you’ve got a picture to share from your own hen do or a friend’s, then all the better!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.

london hen do helicopter tour

Most of us have either been on a hen do or enjoyed our own at some point in time and so we

My nightmare would be any form of stereotypical hen do parapheralia, the bought of L plates brings me out in a cold sweat! Or greasy naked men :-) I am hoping my hens know this isn’t me and am sure they will plan the perfect surprise weekend! Fingers crossed! :-) xx

Well I think my hen do horror would be any form of extreme sport! I have heard of hens doing a boot camp – no thank you! Hen nights (in my opinion) should be about glamour and pampering with plenty of cocktails ! However different strokes for different folks and all that! I personally didn’t want any kind of naked butler or limo however I’ve organised that for friends because I know they would love it! (And it ended up being pretty fun too!)

I’m currently organising a hen night for one of my best friends – she is the last one out of our group to get married so we’re going to make it a good one and this beautiful hen book would be a stylish way to record all our memories. I would love to win!

My hen-do nightmare would be if everyone went away and fell out. I have heard of a wedding party that went abroad and came home not speaking to each other! They only saw each other next at the wedding!! That would be my hen-do hell.

Too much alcohol, naked slippery strippers and arguments would be my ultimate hen-do nightmare.
