Tessa & Daniel: Shere romance
When it comes to engagement shoots sometimes it’s best to keep things simple. As much as I love a well styled engagement shoot {and if you’re planning one please send it my way!} I know most of you are far too busy juggling work, relationships and sourcing the perfect details for your wedding day to worry about more props and details! My top tips are to pick a place special to you, wear what you feel comfortable in, and make the most of some time out with your hubby-to-be sharing kisses and cuddles and generally being loved-up. You’ll end up with some relaxed and natural photo’s to share with your loved ones, and contrast the formal ones from your wedding day.
Tessa and Daniel’s engagement shoot by Anneli Marinovich is a perfect example. They chose the pretty Surrey village of Shere for their shoot, where they enjoyed tea and cakes before a wander around the village taking in the ducks and spring flowers and beautiful afternoon sunlight. Simply beautiful.
Tessa shares their story so far ~
We met when we were at school, we were probably 14. We both ran for our school at a local district sports competition and that’s where it all started. We had our first kiss at a school disco! Daniel proposed right by St Paul’s Cathedral. He asked me to meet him after work one evening, and he’d planned an evening with dinner and an overnight stay at The Grange Hotel overlooking the Cathedral.
We are getting married at St Nicolas Church in Cranleigh (where my parents got married!) followed by a reception in a marquee on my Aunty and Uncle’s farm where I spent a lot of weekends growing up. I love Elvis Presley, so we’re having an amazing Elvis impersonator planned for the evening, followed by a really good disco.
