Soft Grey + Storm Blue: Ballet Inspired Wedding

We love this romantic wedding editorial by Emma Joy The Wedding Planner captured by Éva Tárnok. The colour palette of soft grey and storm blue with a light and luminous white is perfect inspiration for Spring and Summer Weddings and the two bridal looks are stunning! Emma tell us more about the details – “Having always loved the ballet, we wanted to bring a sense of its grace and movement to the shoot. In keeping with the delicate feel, we chose a palette of classic white with hints of soft grey and storm blue. We imagined our bride using dance to express the love and excitement she feels on her wedding day. It’s definitely a classic look, but still very feminine and romantic and full of beautiful styling details.

Tamra Burke, our exquisite model, is a professional dancer with the London Ballet Company, and she was a joy to work with. Philippa at Luella’s helped us pick out the floaty Limor Rosen ‘Kylie’ gown you see photographed. We loved its detailed embroidery and hoped that when Tamra danced, the skirt would twist and turn around her, enveloping her like cream. For the second dress, we wanted a more demure evening look. We chose Shanna Melville’s ‘Poppy’ gown for its floral appliqué detail and open back. Both looked stunning with the elegant ‘Millie’ bridal shoes by Emmy London! The spectacular vintage sapphire and diamond ring by Bear Brooksbank fine jewellery designer stole the show! Both bridal looks had the prettiest hair and makeup by Sophie Cooke.

Floral designer, Susan Elizabeth created a magnificent floral centrepiece and bouquet in classic white and greens which contrast beautifully with the Navy trailing ribbons from California-based Tono & Co. We created a perfectly romantic tablesetting with stylish tableware and linens from Couvert Bespoke Event Hire who also provided these wonderful chairs! Lauren from Oh Wonder Calligraphy made us a beautiful invitation suite with personalised menus; whic we styled in an oh so Fine Art fashion with the cute Sweetbee velvet ring box from Bride to Beein Ireland.”
