When it comes to wedding inspiration, we really spoil you rotten here at B.LOVED. We ply you with styled shoots aplenty, mood boards, and bridal style. But we couldn’t let you out into the world of wedding planning without the healthy dose of real weddings as well – seeing how the planning plays out in a real life.

Simone and Renzo’s day beautifully illustrates how you go from Pinterest crazy to an effortlessly chic wedding day, where everything is focused on the most important things, family and love (and maybe a healthy dose of pretty too.

They day was perfectly captured, as ever, by Anouschka Rokebrand.

We met 14 years ago when I started working for Renzo’s company as a truck driver. After a little while we sensed that we felt more for each other than just employer/employee and sparks started to fly.

After a few years of driving together, I decided to join Renzo at the office. At that time, now about 10 years ago, Renzo proposed. He had printed the line: Simone, will you marry me? on the side of a 17 metre long truck.

Absolutely amazing, but shortly after I found out I was pregnant with our first child, baby number 2 and 3 followed. Then life got in the way.

In 2012 we decided we wanted to have another baby who was born in March 2013. When we had all our ducks in a row in 2014 we decided to finally do it: Let’s get married!

I spent hours on Google, Pinterest and Etsy and we received advice from our wedding planner Shirley. We knew what we wanted but we were searching to finalise the details and cross the t’s and dot the I’s. Shirley did just that for us. Our colours were Midnight Blue and Sparkling blush and it was amazing!

Green Village is incredibly romantic and they are so flexible in their options and what you can do. Anything was possible, which made planning a delight.

I wore a stunning Pronovias dress with lots of tulle and a long veil. Renzo had a gorgeous tailored blue suit from Rietbergh.
