styled shoot: you + me ~ a pretty pastel spring shoot

The gorgeous weather over the past week has got me all excited for summer!  Whether you’re tying the knot in a garden wedding, or hosting a grand celebration in a country mansion, today’s super pretty styled shoot is filled with cute details and beautiful ideas for adding joy and happiness to your big day.  Submitted by Portuguese wedding photographer Luis Mateus, of Lounge Fotografia, the shoot is set in the stunning gardens of Casa D’Quinta in the lush, green countryside just outside Porto.  The theme was ‘You + Me’, happiness, love and joy.  Full of soft, pastel pink hues, delicate floral and lace details, this is the perfect inspiration for a tranquil summer wedding with a laid-back picnic theme.

I love the hanging birdcages, complete with pink-plumed birds for a whimsical touch!  The bride’s tea-length dress and flats, natural makeup and loose hair, with the groom’s unbuttoned collar and rolled up sleeves just adds to that cosy and intimate summer vibe.

Isn’t this the sweetest of picnic scenes, with pink crockery, pretty cakes and delicate details?  A clever use of lace and doilies, a flash of well placed ribbon, and flowers arranged in mismatched cut-glass vases add a cute, relaxed touch.  For a super informal wedding, you could just throw pretty fabric blankets over the lawn and invite everyone to help themselves to a delicious picnic spread!

Thank you to all the wonderful suppliers who collaborated on this shoot for sharing their gorgeous ideas!

And remember, all you lovely brides tying the knot this year can still win one of three ‘Fearless Bridal’ shoots in our giveaway with fabulous photographer Yolande de Vries.  What is ‘Fearless Bridal’? Find out here, and then pop over here to enter!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
