sunday sweetness #17
Hello & good morning! Well, we made it to the end of the first week of 2012 pretty much intact! Does anyone else feel like it’s gone so quickly? All that catching up from the holidays has made the last few days whizz by and I can’t believe it’s Sunday again already! Perhaps it has something to do with the amazing content that’s been appearing on some of my favourite blogs this week?
This year Sunday Sweetness has had a little refresh! I’ll be looking at my favourite posts of the week from around the wedding blogging world, including inspiration, real weddings and even something for the lovely wedding pro’s. It’s even got it’s own category over in the right hand sidebar, so you can stay up to date with my weekly faves more easily.
So here we go ~
inspiration
Elizabeth from Bridal Musings shared her inspiration for a Chalkboard Wedding in black, white and charcoal, and she couldn’t resist throwing in a few beautiful blush touches either! Pink and grey is one of my favourite colour combinations, and I love this chic and unique take on the scheme. It would be a great choice for a wedding held at a school venue, or a bride who is a teacher!
An opulent and elegant Rustic Boho inspiration shoot on Adore by Chloe is full of stunning ideas and details for a late summer or early autumn wedding. Rich purple and green and a hint of red make a gorgeous warm scheme, and the bride’s floral headpiece is simply amazing!
real weddings
Something to cheer up a miserable grey day from Before the Big Day, Beth and Nik’s bright and cheerful Californian wedding is full of colour pop florals and clear blue skies.
It’s no secret that I love pretty much everything from The Pretty Blog, and this wedding is absolutely no exception. A relaxed and homely wedding in the African bushveld with animal print, african touches, a beautiful bride and safari-suited groom exchanging vows in a dry riverbed. Wow!
events
Kat at Rock n Roll Bride introduced A Most Curious Wedding Fair, an alternative vintage event being hosted in Nottingham in February and London in March. Click here for more information and dates, and to see the amazing promotional shoot for the fair!
for the pro’s
Considering submitting a shoot or real wedding feature, but not sure quite how to go about it? Sara at Under The Vintage Veil has written a whole post on how to get your images published. The hardest part of a wedding bloggers job is turning down a real wedding, so hop on over for a read to make sure your submissions make our job easy and say ‘yes’!
