supplier spotlight #2: beba’s closet

Hi Friday friends! Hope you’ve all enjoyed a lovely week, I’m finally getting over a nasty chest infection I’ve had all week. On Sunday I’m meeting up with a few friends from the TWIPS community for a lovely girly afternoon tea and wedding chatter.  I love being a part of this supportive international community! I’m also excited to meet Naomi Goodman of Enchanted Dream Weddings, who runs TWIPS all the way from San Diego!  If you’d like to find out more about who we are, and what we do, check out!

Now onto today’s Supplier Spotlight! I’m always excited to find new and unique boutiques and designers to share with you on Bijoux Bride, so when I came across the new Bridal collection from Spanish designer Beba’s Closet, I couldn’t wait to share!  Being based in Spain, means that Beba’s Closet offers a slightly different take on bridal fashion, that brides looking for something unique will love!  With a reputation for producing haute couture garments and wedding dresses from her boutique in Madrid, Beba presented her ready to wear collections at the 2010 Madrid Fashion week, with huge success.  The collections are now available in the UK through Sun & Rain’s studio in London.

Recently, I spoke to Beba about her style and inspirations ~

Beba’s Closet is … passion for uniqueness… …soul… creation…observation… attitude… search… … tradition and innovation… inspiration… curiosity… change… is authenticity

I find inspiration from other artists, on vintage clothes, in my dreams, from antique pieces… I think Beba’s Closet style is modern but based on tradition, with a twist, special, and made with lots of love!

I find inspiration on my clients and my brides. I always dream before drawing, I imagine how that bride would like to feel, what she would like to convey.

Beba’s Closet gowns all have a vintage touch, antique lace and brocade, combined with modern twists.  Attention to detail and innovation are key to her designs, with fluid silks and defined brocades taking centre stage.

Aren’t they just gorgeous?!

Have a lovely weekend lovelies, don’t forget to tell me about your wedding plans! xx

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.
