supplier spotlight #9: elsie j prints {giveaway}

Good morning lovelies!  Well, how glad are you it’s Friday?  Well you should be very glad I tell you, as I have something super exciting to share with you today!  Not only am I introducing you to the lovely Lindsey of Elsie J Prints, but I’m also holding my very first giveaway! And every single one of you can get in on the deal, as Lindsey has very kindly offered a free download of one of her gorgeous address labels!  Read on…

Lindsey has always loved all things wedding and paper, so after working in the greetings card industry, it was only natural for her to combine her two loves and begin designing her own wedding stationery ranges.  The Elsie J style is clean and modern, with an elegant touch and unexpected pops of colour.  So basically everything I love!

As well as offering a collection of pre-designed printed invitations, there is also the option to have many of these designs as printables.  Not only does this mean you can choose her designs from whereever you are in the world, they are also a really budget-friendly way to get beautifully designed stationery.  Lindsey is also happy to create completely custom designs to coordinate with your wedding day style, creating something unique and personal.

What trends and themes do you see emerging for 2012?

I see more people gravitating towards the bold graphic invitations with colors that pop. The simple typographic invites are also gaining popularity.

Where do you find your inspiration?

I read bridal blogs, search for pretty images that inspire me. I take lots of photos and am constantly collecting stationery and printed items that inspire me.

What advice or tips would you give brides planning their wedding?

Start collecting colors, images and ideas for your wedding early on. This will make it easy to pinpoint your wedding style and what style invites you should go for. Inspiration images are also extremely helpful to show a designer if you want a custom designs made for you. Don’t be afraid to be unique with your invitations, try something new! Think of invitations and save the dates as a sneak preview of your wedding. Give your guests a little glimpse of what’s to come.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love seeing an invitation suite and all of the wedding materials coming together for a bride. When they are happy, I am happy! I also love to hear their ideas for making their invitations unique and personal.

What’s your favourite thing about working in the wedding industry?

The variety! The wedding industry is great, because as I designer I never get bored. One moment I will be designing an elegant floral invitation, and the next moment I will be working on a quirky beach wedding. Every wedding is different, as is each couple—this makes it very fun for me!

I always like trying out new ideas and mediums. If any brides out there have new ideas for their invites, or something they’d like to try out, I’d love to accommodate.

Thank you Lindsey for telling us all about Elsie J!  You can find all the printed and printable collections in the Elsie J Etsy shop, as well as a range of holiday cards, party invites, and baby announcements.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
