supplier spotlight: b.inspired by dottypink designs

This morning let’s indulge in a little pretty paper by Amy Seager at Dottypink Designs.  Based in North Yorkshire, Amy creates fresh and contemporary wedding stationery with a feminine twist.  And that description is precisely why we love her!  After studying Graphic Design at University, and meeting her husband, Amy worked as a designer while still enjoying freelancing for small clients and friends.

“My family and friends started asking me to design invitations to parties and weddings and when we got married I designed the stationery for that, so from then I thought that perhaps other people would love my designs too!  I set about creating an off the peg range which is fully customisable, and offering a bespoke service where I can create the designs from scratch to suit each couple”

I asked Amy for a little insight into her designs ~

“I love typography, and colour palettes that work well together.  I think that it is important to consider the environment when working with paper based items and the postage costs too. I love whimsical, vintage styles but I also love bold and bright styles that are simple and beautiful.  I get inspired from lots of things, every day life, fabrics, colours and styles of party dresses, memories of my childhood, sunny days, food and perfume packaging and the internet is now a great source of inspiration with blogs and Pinterest full of beautiful images. I think if you look hard enough you can find inspiration in everything somehow!”

This morning then, we’re going to b.inspired by three designs from the Dottypink range!

Taking the blush colour of ‘Circus’, I created a fresh and feminine board using feminine and romantic pink tones.  With soft florals, and glamorous touches, this is the perfect palette for the blushing bride.

‘Bright Confetti’ calls for carnival colours and fun!  With a selection of vivid blooms, and confetti details, this would make a striking theme for a real celebration!

And finally, inspired by the springtime lemon hue of ‘Frills’ a daisy-filled theme with a relaxed boho vibe.  Flowers in the hair, and relaxed, whimsical details keep this look soft and fresh.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
