supplier spotlight: b.inspired by vintage styler
Morning lovelies! Well, what a week it’s been! In the Olympics we’ve been bringing home the gold, and it’s been equally exciting here on b.loved! We’ve had a few changes this week including our tag line ‘pretty contemporary weddings’ which reflects our style so much more (read more about it here). We also installed a new ‘pin it’ button so you can pin directly to your pinterest boards just by hovering over the images you like and we’ve stepped up the content with double loveliness on Tuesdays with two love shoots, and double posts on Thursdays including our new Thursday Trends feature which is proving very popular already!
For our last post of the week we going to b.inspired by Vintage Styler. A new sponsor to b.loved, Vintage Styler is an online treasure trove of beautiful vintage and vintage-inspired headpieces, garters, clutch bags and jewellery for your big day. Vintage Styler collections include pieces from some of our favourite British Designers, including Debbie Carlisle Bouquets, Rocks for Frocks and Jo Barnes Vintage. There are amazing couture garters from A Alicia, Silver Sixpence in her Shoe and Florrie Mitton, and beautiful birdcage veils by Lily Bella. Whether original vintage or vintage inspired, each piece is chosen individually for their stylist design and high quality finish. Vintage Styler offers the perfect solution for the adventurous bride, who isn’t afraid to break the wedding ‘rules’.
I’ve picked three favourite pieces to be inspired by today, starting with the oh so chic and perfectly on trend Je T’Aime garter by Florrie Mitton. Combining ever popular lace with pretty pearl and ribbon details, this piece suits the romantic bride. With a soft and pretty colour palette, this look oozes gentle glamour and sophistication, team a pretty lace covered dress with chic and elegant details and touches of gold.

The Poppy birdcage veil by Lily Bella is another popular and fabulously on-trend piece. For the daring bride, create a retro look by pairing with a fun and flirty prom-style dress with colourful, playful details and a rainbow bouquet.

For contemporary, understated glamour, the Ava Feather headband from Debbie Carlisle is a winner. A statement piece with a delicate touch of sparkle, this piece would be the perfect choice for a stylish winter wedding, incorporate a a little more sparkle and feathery details for an on-trend chic look.Palette: White, Silver, Grey

I chatted to Amy about what makes Vintage Styler unique ~

What trends and themes do you see emerging for 2012?
Lace is hugely popular this year, and not just for dresses. We have some stunning lace inspired pieces in stock and lots more arriving very soon! Birdcage veils are also extremely popular still, we stock a large range of the amazing Lily Bella Bird Cage Veil collection.
What question do brides ask you most often?
Brides often ask which is the best way to wear their hair with a veil, from a full length cathedral veil to a birdcage veil. We always advise to go for a hair style which firstly suits your hair type and face shape, then style your accessories around that. If you choose your accessories first, then you are limited on which hair styles you can have – make sure you have quite a clear idea before going for trials, and bring lots of pictures of hair styles and accessories you like so your stylist can create something perfect for you!
What does being involved in the wedding industry mean to you?
I love being involved in the wedding industry, it’s so lovely to be able to have such a close working and personal relationship with both my brides and suppliers – everyone is always so happy! Most of all, every bride and every wedding is different so it’s never boring!
