supplier spotlight: faith caton-barber {bespoke bridalwear}

Happy Friday readers! What are your plans for the weekend ahead?  I’m looking forward to Tea on the Terrace tomorrow afternoon at the beautiful Fetcham Park. I do hope some of you are coming along for an inspirational and luxurious afternoon, and I look forward to seeing you there.  Please come and say hi!

Back to this morning, and I am really exciting to introduce to you one of our new sponsors, Faith Caton-Barber.  When Faith contacted me about becoming a b.loved sponsor a few weeks ago, I couldn’t help but get excited about sharing her with you!  As an independent bespoke bridalwear designer, with an eye for detail and a true passion for helping brides, Faith’s brand fits the b.loved ethos perfectly, and I’m delighted to welcome her to the blog!  Commissioning your own, truly bespoke wedding dress is one way to inject your personality into your day, and it’s not as expensive as you might think!

Here’s Faith explaining a little more about what she does ~

“I design beautifully unique bespoke wedding dresses for women who want to look and feel amazing, in a way that feels right to them. Each dress is a one-off created with love, care and attention out of the best luxury fabrics- they fit perfectly and feel fabulous. I enjoy helping women like you to feel good about yourself and the way you look, so that you can let go of any worries you may have about your appearance and get on with the important business of saying your vows, enjoying the celebrations with your loved ones and making great memories that last. While a wedding dress may only be worn for one very special day, it is a hugely important part of how you remember your own wedding.  It lives on in photographs on walls, mantelpieces and even Facebook!  One of the great benefits of having a dress designed especially for you is that you can truly express your own style and taste while still achieving the ideal fit.”

Faith will not only design your dress according to your personal style and tastes, but guide you through the process, producing beautiful sketches and helping you choose from gorgeous fabric samples.

“I love-love-love to draw and do my best to make my drawings look believable, I always try to sketch real human proportions,  because it really helps my clients to picture themselves in my designs. I always carry a sketchbook to draw in and I continually strive to improve my technique by drawing from life, as well as from my imagination”

Browsing though Faith’s website gives a great insight into the diversity and style of dresses she designs, each with their own unique qualities but all with Faith’s signature style using quality fabrics with beautiful fluidity and movement.

“Whatever your style – and I design for women who love tradition, some who want to defy convention and others who have truly maverick, even eccentric, style – what’s most important is that you feel great and look stunning. I studied costume design at Wimbledon School of Art and as well as creating unique dresses, I have spent so much time over the years helping actors and dancers to step on stage looking just right for their role; I truly understand how important it is to feel confident in what you are wearing (no matter how used you are to being in the spotlight!). I helped to make my first wedding dress when I was 17 and that was when I realised the impact a well dressed bride has on her groom, not to mention everyone else, and since then I’ve wanted to do my best for every bride who has come to me for her dress, her bridesmaids, flower girls and all her key women involved in her wedding day.”

If you’re a bride who just hasn’t yet found the right dress for you or are looking for something a little different and unique, get in touch with Faith.  I know she would love to design something fabulous, just for you!

Fully bespoke dresses are priced from £1,500

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
