The Festive Issue: Bridal Beauty
Breaking the rules and going bold for your bridal make up was once considered a real no no….. but not so much any more!
You don’t have to stick to traditional and classic make up for your wedding – it can take on a fun element if your personality and vision for your wedding calls for something a little more daring! And why not? Weddings are changing, and couples are choosing to reflect their personal styles more & more, so why should that not be reflected in a brides hair and make up too?!
A Christmas wedding usually involves richer and bolder decor, and evening receptions lit with fairy lights and/or candle light. This in itself calls for a stronger make up application as otherwise it may not be noticed at all. With this in mind, I created two striking looks for our Festive bride and bridesmaid, using a red, green and metallic palette.
A dramatic red lip and strong liner on a shimmering silvery eye shadow create the perfect party ready look for our bride. To create this look I used:
1. Chantecaille Diamond Trio Pallette ( Pale Gold and Silver Gray used) 2. Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel 3. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector (glow on Face & Body) 4 . Daniel Sandler Watercolour Fluid Blusher in Glamour 5. Dior Gloss Angelique 6. Tom Ford Lipstickin Vampire Kiss
With bridesmaids you can dare to be even more brave. I chose an emerald green eye shadow colour to really make her eyes pop, contrasted with a berry red pop on the lip. For this look I used:
1. Mac Pigment in Teal 2. Laura Mercier Creme eyeliner in Cannard 3. Benefit Hoola Bronzer 4. Shu Uemura Medium Peach 560 Blusher 5. Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Luxemburg 6. Nars Lip Lacquer in Hot Wired
Wishing you all the sparkliest and most glitter filled Christmas!
