To round off this week I’m delighted to share with you the brand new ‘Adore & Adorn’ collection from Victoria Fergusson Accessories. I’ve been a fan of Victoria’s exquisitely detailed bridal accessories since discovering her work, and have been lucky enough to share and work with her beautiful pieces ever since {see here}. To launch her 2013 collection, Victoria teamed up with stockist Luella’s Boudoir, photogapher Sally Edwards and Stephanie Callaghan to create a stylish, contemporary showcase {how much do we adore the giant paper flowers and gorgeous dresses?!}

Victoria’s style is instantly recognisable, with every bead, sequin and gem hand stitched with the designer’s delicate touch, resulting in an heirloom accessory for you to wear on your wedding day and treasure for a lifetime. The new collection mixes beautiful materials and Victoria’s signature intricate beading techniques with texture and patterns. The name of each piece is evocative of their inspiration, the Art Deco Period, William Morris Arts and Crafts and The Golden Age of Couture.

Adore & Adore also explores some more unusual styles, including the newly created Peter Pan collar – a contemporary look for a bride looking for a more unusual wedding day style. Pieces can be combined to create a pretty ensemble, or on their own as a statement piece.

I asked Victoria a few questions to find out more about her personal style ~

My style is… to keep it simple.

I’m inspired by… film, fashion, history of costume, these things never fail to inspire me. It’s impossible to watch a film, flick through a magazine or delve into a history book without forming an idea for a new design.

My favourite piece is… the Stardust headdress, I love the bead and gem combination and the hint of subtle golden shades, but then again I absolutely love the Angel Face collar! Can’t decide….

Trends I love right now… the Spring-Summer whites as seen at Valentino, Stella McCartney and Pucci, gorgeously clean and feminine, featuring laser-cutting and broderie anglaise.

I admire… if we’re talking wedding dresses, I don’t think you can get much more dreamy than Elie Saab, the cut and detailing are sublime. I also love Chloe.

I love my job because… it’s actually my hobby and I’m working with people at their happiest, the whole process is a pleasure.

Weddings make me… sentimental and nostalgic.

My advice for couples planning their wedding is… enjoy the process, choose people and products you genuinely love and remember what it’s really all about – the two of you. Oh, and keep making lists!

Brides looking for the perfect accessory to complete your look should check out the full collection at www.victoriafergusson.co.uk or pop into your local stockist for a dressing up session!

Victoria will also be hosting a designer day at Luella’s Boudoir in Wimbledon on 19th May 2013, where you can meet her and discuss your perfect piece. Places are limited so click here to book your appointment now!

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
