The New Romantic Issue: The Decor
Morning readers! We love a pretty wedding palette here at b.loved HQ, so for our latest Style Guide collaboration with the b.team we’ve embraced all things romantic with a soft peachy-pink and grey colour scheme in our ‘New Romantic Issue‘. To bring this classic look up to date I introduced some gritty textures to add some interest and prevent the look becoming overly girly.
To kick off the issue, we’re taking a look at the décor. I styled a simple white table against a white painted brickwork backdrop, and added both shiny and matt metal details for texture. A statement floral arrangement from Liz at Bluesky Flowers, is displayed in a pewter footed bowl and filled with blousy peach and sweet avalanche roses and ranunculus. Lilac and eucalyptus foliage, add a fresh Spring scent, and spiky tillandsia plants add texture. At each place setting an elegant silver-edged plate is topped with a blush linen napkin and zinc doily plate from Rowen & Wren, decorated with the prettiest silver leaf mini-cake from Olofson Design {more about those next week!} and topped with a single rose bud. To the side the plate is adorned with a single succulent in mercury glass, while silvery votives holding tealights add a warm glow and shimmer against the sparkling sequin runner.
This is such a pretty and easy look to recreate for your own big day, and would work in a contemporary, industrial space just as well as a more traditional hotel or country house. Simple combine blousy fresh flowers, contemporary textures and a touch of sparkle!
