Luxe Elegant Wedding Shoot at Barnsley House
This shoot at Barnsley House, a luxe country house in the Cotswolds, is the perfect inspiration for modern couples that want a timeless and elegant wedding.
The Couple’s Style
The bridal look, designed by Suzanne Neville, was a showstopper with some serious wow factor. This chic look from the Flores Collection pairs sheer modern lace detailing with the billowing textured “Divine” skirt and train. A simple white silk ribbon around the waist brings everything together beautifully.
Our bride’s look was completed with hair and makeup by Jo Adams from Hair & Makeup Atelier, paying special attention to the bride’s rich flowing locks which were styled in loose waves. This was accentuated by an incredible hairpiece from Vivie Embellish. For more bridal crown and hairpiece inspiration, see here.
The Wedding Gallery provided the stylish made-to-measure suit worn by our groom. The dark blue really stood out against the grey and cream backdrop.
Both the bride and groom completed their looks with spectacular pieces of jewellery from Lily Arkwright.
Colour Palette & Blooms
The colour palette was kept muted through the use of omnipresent grey, cream and blush tones throughout various design elements including the linen, furniture, stationery and floral design.
Gemma from Iris & Co designed incredible floral arrangements. She kept the look soft and elegant with blush tones accented throughout the tablescape, bouquet and fireplace installation. The blush tones were further reflected in the gorgeous hand dyed silk ribbon by Pom Pom Blossom used on the bridal bouquet.
LouPaper created the exquisite stationery suite and menus printed on handmade paper with gorgeous deckle edges to give a unique touch. The menus were layered with vellum featuring hand drawn calligraphy to add elegant detail. Gold eyelets were used to secure the layers together to add a gorgeous gilt to the finishing touch.
The tablescape was designed with modern romantics in mind. The soft blush palette was combined with white and hints of gold on the tablescape, a classic and beautiful colour combination.
The cake, designed by Cakebuds, was a delicious piece of edible art combining the classic elegance of white fondant with refined modern textural blush detailing.
- Give your tablescape more impact by adding different layers and textures.
- Use soft candlelight to create a calming, romantic and intimate mood.
- Remember that less is definitely more when you are going for a timeless look!
