Last week I shared my Top 10 Style Blogs as part of my New Year promise to refine my blog reading list and find inspiration in the places that really speak to me style-wise.  This week I’m taking a look at the blogs closest to my heart; wedding blogs.  Having originally founded BLOVED as a wedding blog back in 2011, this one was particularly tough for me as there are literally hundreds if not thousands of wedding amazing bloggers out there who each do a great job creating and curating the very best inspiration out there.  So to keep it to my permitted 10, I’ve selected the very best blogs that I think will appeal to the B.LOVED reader, who represent style and luxury, are obsessed with the details and have a passion for contemporary design too.

I give you my Top 10 Wedding Blogs!

Emily and Jess are self-confessed colour addicts and wedding obsessives!  These creative friends share kick-ass weddings that are bursting with colour and just so much fun! I particularly love their clever DIY’s and chatty, friendly writing style.  The BB girls have also just launched BB Boutique, where you can find all the suppliers and products you need to create the wedding of your own wildest dreams!

Best for: crafty brides. Visit:

This classic wedding blog is all about dreamy, romantic weddings.  Run by English rose Elizabeth, and Dubliner Claire, these two ladies have created a beautiful and practical guide to getting married with an International following.  They’re the only wedding blog (at least that I know of) to have a dedicated wedding films section too, so grab the popcorn and prepare to be inspired!

Best for: romantics and movie buffs. Visit:

bloved-wedding-blog-top-10-wedding-blogs-2016-Burnetts-BoardsI discovered Burnett’s Boards fairly early in my blogging journey, falling in love with Editor Sarah’s beautiful inspiration boards and on-trend styled shoots.  She has a keen eye for style, and always surprises with something unique and a little different – yet undeniably beautiful.

Best for: on-trend inspiration. Visit:

Alongside Coco Wedding Venues ever-popular wedding venue directory, the accompanying blog edited by Emma Hla is one of my very faves.  With venue-focussed content featuring inspirational styled shoots and tours as well as wedding planning advice from top planner Katrina Otter it simply had to make my Top 10!

Best for: Venue research & inspiration. Visit:

bloved-wedding-blog-top-10-wedding-blogs-2016-Elizabeth-Anne-DesignsIf you’re the kind of bride who can easily spend an afternoon swooning over some the most beautiful imagery online (umm, don’t we all?!) then this should be your blog of choice!  Editor Amy combines beautiful imagery with emotion and romance, she focusses on the relationship as much as the details, and that’s what makes this blog so special.

Best for: Beautiful imagery and emotion. Visit:

Stylist Summer Watkins (AKA Lady Grey) indulges her love of all things wedding in this super fun and stylish blog.  I love how she combines modern design with effortless style.  Her keen eye for detail and artistic flair is evident throughout, I don’t think you’ll find a more stylish blog!

Best for: Stylish inspiration Visit:

Ask any wedding pro who their industry idol is, and I’m pretty sure this lady’s name will be top of the list.  Featuring the most romantic and luxurious of weddings in the US, and around the world, and sharing easy to follow DIY’s, Martha and her team have got the balance of aspiration and inspiration bang on.

Best for: luxury weddings and achievable crafts. Visit:

bloved-wedding-blog-top-10-wedding-blogs-2016-southbound-brideSouth Bound Bride Editor Gaby and I are long-term blogging buddies, she mentored me when I first set up BLOVED and has encouraged and inspired me ever since.  Recently rebranded (and utterly gorgeous) her blog affectionately known as SBB showcases South African wedding style to brides around the world.  Why is that relevant to you? Even if you’re getting married in the UK, you’ll love the innovative style and trends set in this rainbow nation.

Best for: unique ideas and inspiration. Visit:

This is possibly the most perfectly named blog ever!  Swooned is filled with utterly swoon-able weddings, fresh and modern inspiration from around the world.  I could say so much more, but really you should just go and check it out for yourself, like, right now!

Best for: Swoonable details Visit:

Last, but by no means least, The Perfect Palette is my go-to blog for colour inspiration and it should be yours too! Whatever the colour conundrum, Chrissy has a palette to suit in stunning weddings and beautifully curated inspiration boards.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
