Traditional Tuscan Wedding Inspiration with a Day-After Brunch
What we would give to be celebrating in the Italian sunshine right now! This traditional Tuscan wedding inspiration combines classic Italian vibes with beautiful styling and floral details to create a completely elegant and romantic w-day style.
Thank you to Kimberley Rose Designs and Bennedetto Photography for sharing these inspiring images.
THE STYLING
This traditional tuscan wedding inspiration shoot combines the classic elements that Tuscany is known for with beautiful and simple designs. The key elements that create this look are the seasonal blooms that added pops of colour in shades of light pinks, lilacs and cerise pink to lift the tablescape, beautiful tableware and rentals that elevated our design, especially with the hints of gold popping through and the hand drawn floral menu cards that complimented both the florals and the wider landscape of the Tuscan countryside.
THE COLOURS
We kept the colour palette neutral (so it doesn’t clash with the vibrant colours of the great outdoors) with shades of light taupe, pale pinks, with pops of cerise pink and lilac reflected primarily in the flowers and silk ribbons used in the shoot. Gold was a clear choice for the metallics we used as it added to the elegance of the shoot and was reflected in the crockery and cutlery we chose. As the colour palette was neutral, it decided the style of shoot for us and we chose to go with a simple refined elegant theme for the editorial to blend in as well with the beautiful surrounds of Tuscany.
THE FLORALS
Working with our almost neutral palette the flowers contributed a lot to this shoot by providing the colour pops that made the shoot stand out. It was made up of organic arrangements that had a combination of garden roses, spray roses, peonies and lisianthus that were all good accompaniment to our elegant tablescape.
We also created a simple alfresco style setup for the day after the wedding to showcase how couples can create a simple relaxed brunch.
TOP TIPS
My top 3 tips for recreating this look are:
- Choose a neutral colour palette that works with your environs especially if you want an outdoor wedding reception.
- Keep your florals loose and organic
Add rental pieces that will really elevate your design and compliment your florals.
