Tuscan Dream

Elena and Lorenzo’s beautiful wedding in Tuscany was captured by Les Amis Photography and is filled with pretty rustic details and sunshine! Elena planned the wedding herself and here she is to tell us more about it!

“The most important event of our lives took place in Montalcino, a medieval village in Tuscany where we celebrated our wedding. The Cathedral in Montalcino hosted the ceremony in a simple but elegant setting. The venue is on the top of a hill and surrounded by cypress trees, vineyards, a wide range of olive trees and rich colours of yellow with the perfume of lavender and rosemary. A few years ago we discovered this place which has an ancient, romantic and secret history. That day we relaxed, listening to the silence of the hills and enjoying the beautiful panorama. This was the place for the celebration of our marriage!

Poggio al Sole with it’s summery green countryside filled with olives tree and an ancient stone grey country house – offered the perfect pastel shades to match the colours chosen for the wedding: peach, powder pink, ivory, coral and sage green. Long wooden tables were in perfect harmony with the environment with a central runner for each table on which small peach coloured flowers were placed, together with ivory candles. The coral coloured Peonies stood out amongst all the flowers.”
