Understated Elegance: The Decor
Hello lovelies! Guess what? The Style Guide is back, and I’m soooo excited to share what our oh-so-talented b.team have been up to! This month is all about pure luxury and understated elegance, with a soft grey, white and ivory palette creating a beautiful, timeless look. I know I’m not meant to have favourites, but this has to come close… so far!
This look is all about the principle of ‘less is more’, so when styling the table I really set about removing the clutter and making each detail as perfect as possible. I used luxurious white & grey linen as a base, with simple place settings using patterned white bowls, soft grey napkins and porcelain lace napkin rings from Zara Home.
Liz created a set of contemporary, elegant floral arrangements. Small white glass vases, filled with dahlias, peonies and sweet peas keep the look simple and understated, while tall silver candlesticks add height and a touch of luxury. Smaller frosted votives add a warm glow at table level. I finished the look with big elegant chair bows, tied with wide satin ribbon.
