Urban Tribal

Carmela Weddings and Amanda Karen Photography show us how fun and vibrant city weddings can be with their ‘Urban Tribal’ shoot in London! Bright colours, geometric elements and a fabulous floral installation! Here’s Amanda to tell us more about the shoot; “The inspiration for this shoot stemmed from the notion that we all have our own tribe, and in London that is our own urban tribe! Taking inspiration from the bold colours and geometric patterns steeped through tribal influences really came to life with shoot as we celebrated the fun of colour against the urban warehouse style of Brixton East.

The colour palette was driven by bold and bright with blues and greens being the main theme throughout the shoot. Ananya Cards created vibrant stationery utilising geometric patterns to bring the tribal feel which was then carried through with subtle embossing on the napkins and the chevron table runner. The backs of the chairs were completed with dream catchers created by Soiree Stylists, which followed through to the cake crafted by GC Couture with hand crafted dreamcatcher designs with gold threading and was finished off with a blue and green geometric icing band around each layer.

The flowers carried on the bold and beautiful theme with Emma Soulsby Flowers creating a stunning hanging floral arrangement suspended above the table, the greenery was dotted with bright blooms which filled the room with an amazing scent. Smaller arrangements were placed down the centre of the table to offset the bright tableware and were mimicked on the gold and glass cake trolley. Our bride’s bouquet was elegantly wild with a delicate mix of greenery and blooms, all beautifully tied up with silk ribbon by Kate Cullen.”

“Bridal details are key to our style conscious bride so handmade hair accessories and jewellery were created by Beverly Edmondson and were the perfect accompaniment to the gorgeous and modern bridal separated created by Kate Edmondson Bridal Couture.  The first look was a flowing tulle skirt with a high necked halter style top with gold neck lace detail.  The second look was a more refined sleek look with a sculpted bodice and a puddle train.”
