Valentina + Nikolaus’ Timeless Castle Wedding in Austria

Valentina + Nikolaus married not far from beautiful Vienna, at the elegant Halbturn Castle. This grand Austrian Castle is such a splendid example of historical architecture, with romantic details and in a lovely cream stone which looks amazing for fine art photographs! Inside has us swooning at even more incredible details but again in a light and dreamy white which lends itself to many different colour palettes and styles. I think I have officially fallen in love with Austrian Castle weddings after seeing this stunning venue!

Iconoclash Photography captured Valentina + Nikolaus’ wedding day and here they share more details with us; “Valentina took the castle as a starting point to design the wedding  – which she did all by herself, with a lot of inspiration taken from blogs and magazines. She went for blue, peach and gold as her main colours. Dreamy, classic, timeless… those were the adjectives that Valentina used to describe the aesthetic she was going for when she talked to me before the wedding. Valentina and Nikolaus chose the gorgeous baroque castle of Halbturn, about an hour from Vienna, for their wedding.  The castle was built in the beginning of the 18th century by the Austrian Emperor as a hunting lodge, and one of the things that make it so charming is indeed that it is relatively compact for a castle. It’s set in a gorgeous park, and the fact that an equally beautiful church is on the grounds, in walking distance through the park, makes it especially lovely for weddings.”
