Verena & Sam’s London anniversary shoot
Afternooon my loves! We’ve a bit of a bonus post this afternoon in the form of Verena & Sam’s sweet anniversary shoot from To Have & To Hold Photography. A year after their summer wedding, this young couple wanted to celebrate their marriage with a London love shoot, the city where they first met. I think this is a lovely sentiment, and a reminder to anyone planning their wedding that among the decisions and details is an everlasting love to be cherished and celebrated long after your wedding day.
Here’s Verena with their story ~
Sam and I met at medical school in London. After first meeting while unlocking our respective bicycles and Sam complementing my bicycle basket, we became friends. We started dating fairly soon after. We got engaged while camping in Cornwall. After a barbeque on a secluded bit of beach, Sam surprised me with a ring at sunset. It was perfect!
I loved every moment of our wedding, and friends and family tell us it was very ‘us’! We got married in the church my family have always attended, followed by a reception at a nearby village hall. The wedding consisted of a short dress, mismatched pastel bridesmaid dresses and paisley bow-ties, handmade bouquets, metres of bunting, a hog roast, and lots of fantastic friends and family! My favourite wedding memory is of sitting at the top table, looking at all our guests, and feeling so blessed! Sams was our first dance and seeing the surprise on our guests faces to the song we had picked! Simon from To Have & To Hold took our wedding photos, so it was fantastic to see him a year later for our anniversary photos too!
Our top top for a happy marriage
Keep talking to each other, always be the best of friends, and have fun!
