Vintage travel inspiration featuring Knots & Kisses wedding stationery

Two doses of pretty inspiration this week as we introduce a new format for our ‘b.inspired by’ posts!  This week I’m working with the new vintage-inspired travel collection from Knots & Kisses, whose handmade stationery we love here at b.loved!

Taking the lead from the airmail-style invitation suite designed by Nikki, I wanted to create something inspired by global travel, rich, warm colours. Vintage maps and globes set the theme, with richly coloured exotic florals adding interesting shapes and textures.  I love the paper airplanes adding a fun touch to this floral arrangement, and a new take on bunting with ‘bon vogage’ banners and vintage map garlands.  I am also totally loving the vintage suitcases, taking on more of a homely role than the guest book or card box seen so often. Stack them in between comfy chairs and sofa’s to be used as tables and display quirky travellers artefacts, bincoculars and camera’s straight out of the Grand Tour.  The fun with a travel-themed wedding is you can literally take it in any direction you like, regular visitors to Africa, Australia and the South will love this timeless colonial style, but if you’re more of a beach or city lover, why not let that set your style instead?

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
