A few months ago over lunch with the gorgeous Gabi from Sweetpea PR, we were talking about Christmas and how the only thing we missed from our corporate lives was the annual Office Party!  Working for yourself has it’s perks – not least staying in your onesie ’til 4pm and not having to tactfully avoid with the wierd guy in accounts (you know the one!) – but the downsides are definitely no Friday night drinks or seasonal gatherings.  So we decided to fix it with our very own ‘Unofficial Wedding Industry Christmas Party’!

So last Wednesday over 50 beautiful wedding industry ladies descended on The Lucky Pig, Fulham for a festive knees up complete with turkey, crackers and the odd silly hat!  We love a bit of sparkle, so the dress code encouraged all things glitter, with girls rocking their sequinned dresses and statement necklaces to add to the festive feeling.  In keeping with the theme, I dressed the space with glitter-filled balloons and glitter table confetti from Wedding in a Teacup, and added a sequin-filled bauble eat each place setting with a pretty tag by Hip Hip Hooray and ribbon from Brooklyn Bridal, as a suitably sparkly favour to take home.Thank you so much to our very own Maxeen for capturing some of the behind-the-scenes action!

Needless to say it was a super-fun evening and we all had a blast!  Will there be another one next year? You bet there well be… watch this space!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
