Yes lovelies, December has arrived and with all the fun and frivolities of the festive season. Now I’m a bit of a magpie at the best of times but for me, this time of year is the perfect excuse to get out your sequins and sparkle and shine like the star you at are at all the Christmas and New Year parties. With this in mind I thought what better wedspiration for you than a bit of winter metallic wedding inspiration. Faded, slightly muted golds and silvers make for the most beautiful winter wedding and who doesn’t love a bit of magic and sparkle!

Gold for me is always going to be a winning festive metallic, but paired with greys or silvers it transforms into a wintry magical scene. Using hints of gold in cutlery, tableware and stationery can instantly add a touch of sparkle to proceedings; perhaps even use a sequin tablecloth. If you want to add some shimmer into the bridal fashion, you could wear some sparkly shoes or dress the bridesmaids in some sequin dresses. Twinkly lights and candlelight will look romantic in the darker evenings, so add these in around the venue, maybe outside, in the centrepieces and if you want to add that festive touch, perhaps you could use star shaped lights draped across walls. If DIY is your thing, you could spray paint some decorative items and maybe even elements of your bouquet for that special metallic touch.

Sequin Bridesmaid Dresses If you really want to add that winter metallic touch, then add in some sparkle to your bridal party. Sequin dresses are the perfect accompaniment and similar can be found at Maids to Measure.

Star Fairy Lights To add to that shimmer and shine, inject some festive spirit into your wedding with some star shaped fairy lights, similar to these found on Not on the Highstreet.

Mini Glitter Champagne: Go for ultimate glitz and glam and celebrate in style with these cute glittery champagne favours. I love the selection Etsy has to offer, so head there to see what they have.

Being named after Jane Austen’s Emma, it is serendipitous that I would end up working in weddings. A country girl at heart, I am equally comfortable roaming the farm in my tweed, surrounded by animals or sat in a beautiful Georgian property dining on afternoon tea and sipping champagne. With a strength in organising and a flair for creativity and a passion for everything wedding related I have been lucky enough to work as a Wedding Co-Ordinator for some stunning venues across the South East. I look after the social media and am Co-Planner at Goose & Berry, luxury wedding & event planners & caterers based in London & Buckinghamshire ( and am on hand to help you plan and design your perfect day.
