Winter Rose Wedding Inspiration

Who doesn’t love fire places, a beautiful set table, hot cocoa and pretty candles?  We certainly do at b.loved HQ, so when this gorgeous winter-inspired shoot landed in my inbox I couldn’t resist.  The pretty palette of blush & gold is the perfect antidote to the frosty chill of winter, a romantic option for a winter bride!  The overall look is so elegant, with the pink and gold baubles and a touch of glitter adding a hint of festivity to the party.  I’m so in love with the bridal styling, a cute tea-length dress is perfect for showing of those fur-topped ankle boots, and the little fur stole so warm and cosy!

The shoot was created by a stylish team of Dutch wedding professionals (there must be something in the water!), including hair stylist Lonneke van Dijk and wedding planners Save Your Date  and captured by Yes I Do Wedding Photography.

Here’s more on the styling ~

Gold is a luxurious and warm colour and beautiful for a cosy winter wedding.  Combining this with a soft pastel blush pink and a lace makes this a super romantic theme with a vintage feel. The table was set with stunning French antiques including a gold limoge porcelain dinner set. The gold detailing is all hand painted, very beautiful and ornate. To compliment we added in gold cutlery and gold port glasses which encourage the elegance of the setting. For added decadence the blush pink sherry glasses and antique crystal wine glasses were used, picking up on the gold details.  Brass candelabras with cream candles in the centre of the table create romantic lighting and warmth for a dreamy winter wedding.  The top table centrepieces were created using golden eucalyptus, matching the glittering & glamorous ambiance. Pine-cones were incorporated for a natural warm accent and combined with the lovely white flowers.

Also add a little sparkle to your vintage-inspired bridal hair by choosing a statement hairpiece with lost of rhinestones. A soft day look with pinned up waves and shimmering gold tones in the make-up. The wedding bouquet made with luxurious avalanche roses, white nerine and lysianthus, is inspired by the amazing wedding dress. Over the top, with some glittering gold accents and the natural look of the wooden pine-cones. Go for a fun high textured bun and glamorous make-up to dance the night away!

Treat your family and friends to a winter wedding lunch with all sorts of winter goodies like vegetable cake with goat cheese and carrot, a creamy soup with pumpkin, carrot and parsnip and a green salad with winter pear and edible violets.   Serve hot cocoa with whipped cream together with a golden wedding cake, made of orange infused chocolate cake, with a filling of dark chocolate ganache, combined with a light Italian meringue and cream cheese buttercream with zest of fresh orange. The white frosting with sparkles of gold compliments the theme.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
