Wonderful Florals and Wandering – Exploring Wasing Park
We love to discover beautiful places here at B.LOVED and pretty venue tours really fire the creative juices for us dreaming up ideas for the beautiful weddings which could take place there. Today we’re taking you to explore Wasing Park with one of our favourite wedding photographers recommended in our directory The B.LOVED Edit – the lovely Elsie Love Photography! Melissa, the lady behind the lens tells us more about the details and heaps of different spaces you can choose from at the beautiful Wasing Park!
“Wasing Park lies in the heart of the 4000 acre family owned Wasing Estate. It is the perfect venue for couples who are looking for a secluded, tranquil venue in the Berkshire Countryside. With accommodation for guests in beautiful settings such as The Dovecot with the cutest wooden spiral staircase & triangular bed, to The Stables Lodge, The Granary and The Coach House, the park is filled with charm!
With three ceremony locations, there is a variety of choice for couples – which we love – and you can choose from the light + contemporary modern barn style Garden Room, or the Victorian Summerhouse located in the terrace garden. This is perfect for outdoor civil ceremonies and your aisle is the natural beauty of the landscaped gardens. Inside the summerhouse you’ll find the most beautiful mural painted by Clarissa Parish and it’s embellished with hand-painted flowers, cherry trees, birds & butterflies. So romantic! If you’re looking for a timeless Church ceremony then how about The Church of St Nicholas is a idyllic 15th Century Church set within the acres of gardens among the blossom trees.
Head on over to The Castle Barn for your wedding reception with its contemporary interior. The glass doors open onto a large terrace with a barbecue area – great for spilling out on to for a Summer wedding. As well as the main estate Wasing Park also offer two additional outdoor venues for weddings, these are perfect for the bride that wants a blank canvas to create a unique wedding experience. The Secret Walled Garden has magical details such as stunning iron gateways, rose covered walls, lavender lined pathways & seasonal plants and blooms. We love that you can choose from elegant marquees to a boho luxe tipi and really get creative here!
Behind the rose walled garden is The Folly, surrounded by beautiful countryside, or last but not least there is The Woodland Venue. Set among the woodland with a views of the Ice Pond, it’s perfect for weddings with a festival chic edge and couples who really love to incorporate the outdoors. Think lantern enhanced walkways, oodles of candles, a camp fire & all the festoon lighting!!!”
